July 17, 2016

Syracuse, NY --- JP Arencibia homered twice and drove in four runs to lead Durham past Syracuse 8-4 on Sunday afternoon at NBT Bank Stadium.

The Bulls (42-54) parlayed their momentum from Saturday night's Justin Marks' no-hitter into a second straight win to split the series with the Chiefs.

Arencibia drilled a pair of solo home runs sandwiched around a two-run double. Jake Hager went 3-5 with a two-run double to open up a late 6-2 lead.

Jaime Schultz worked 3 2/3 innings in his native state and before dozens of family and friends, fanning eight before reaching his pitch limit. Ryne Stanek (W, 1-0) relieved for the next four outs to earn his first Triple-A win.

The Bulls continue their 11-game road trip with the first of three against the Rochester Red Wings on Monday night at 7:05 PM ET. Austin Pruitt will start the opening game for Durham.
