International League
Matt Maloney, Louisville
2-0, 1.35 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 13.1 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 11 SO
Maloney got off to a shaky beginning this season but has turned the corner in his last three starts. The southpaw had his best game of the season last Monday against Richmond, shutting out the Braves through seven innings while allowing just two hits and striking out seven for the win. He followed that up with another gem on Sunday against Indianapolis, allowing just two runs on five hits in 6 1/3 innings to improve his record to 5-2. The back-to-back gems lowered Maloney's ERA to 4.91.

Pacific Coast League
Lindsay Gulin, Nashville
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 6.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 4 BB, 10 SO
Gulin only made one start last week for Nashville, but it was a pretty memorable one. The left-hander no-hit New Orleans for six innings, striking out 10 Zephyrs in a 2-1 win. Nashville's bullpen lost the no-hitter in the seventh inning after Gulin exited the game with a pitch count of 109. The six innings, however, were the longest of the season for Gulin, and more than enough for him to register his first win of the season.

Eastern League
David Huff, Akron
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 1 CG, 1 SHO, 7.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO
Huff was masterful last Thursday in Altoona, baffling the Curve for seven shutout innings in a 3-0 complete game victory in the opener of a doubleheader. Huff allowed just three hits and one walk in seven frames, earning his third win of the season. Altoona has seen just about enough of the southpaw over the last month, as Huff has started three of his last four games against the Curve. In those contests, he has allowed just two runs and eight hits while striking out 16 in 20 2/3 innings .

Southern League
Todd Redmond, Mississippi
1-0, 2.08 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 13.0 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 13 SO
Redmond bounced back from three straight sub-par outings with consecutive gems last week. Last Monday against Montgomery, the right-hander gave up two runs on five hits in six innings, striking out a season-high nine Biscuits. He was even better Saturday in Chattanooga, going seven innings and allowing one run on four hits for his third win of the year.

Texas League
Matt Harrison, Frisco
2-0, 0.74 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 12.2 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 7 BB, 10 SO
Harrison, a key piece of the Mark Teixeira trade last July, showed off his potential by tossing the second no-hitter in RoughRiders history in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday. Harrison struck out five and walked six in seven innings, earning his third win of the season. In his previous start, the left-hander allowed only one run on five hits in 5 2/3 innings against Midland. He's now 3-1 on the year with a 3.15 ERA.

California League
Cesar Valdez, Visalia
2-0, 1.76 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 15.1 IP, 14 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 8 SO
Valdez continued his dominating start to the season, winning two more games to lift his record to 6-2 on the year. The righty gave up one run in seven innings last Tuesday against Lancaster before going a season-high 8 1/3 innings Sunday against Modesto. He walked just one in the two starts and allowed less than one base runner per inning. His six wins are tied for the league lead.

Carolina League
Aaron Poreda, Winston-Salem
2-0, 0.69 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 13.0 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 7 SO
Poreda was flat-out dealing in wins over Lynchburg and Kinston last week. The 2007 first-round Draft pick shut out the Hillcats over six innings, allowing just three hits while striking out five in a 4-2 win. He nearly matched that effort Saturday against the Indians, giving up three runs -- one earned -- and four hits while striking out two in seven innings. Poreda has now won his last four starts for the Warthogs and lowered his ERA to a paltry 2.19 on the season.

Florida State League
Jonah Nickerson, Lakeland
1-1, 1.84 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 14.2 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 13 SO
Nickerson was the tough-luck loser last Tuesday in Tampa, getting the loss despite giving up just three runs on eight hits in seven innings. However, he made sure he didn't get the loss Sunday, one-hitting Palm Beach through 7 2/3 innings while striking out eight. The righty seems to thrive at home in Lakeland, where he's 4-0 with a 2.84 ERA.

Midwest League
Jonathan Kibler, West Michigan
2-0, 0.56 ERA, 2 G, 2 GS, 1 CG, 16.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 14 SO
Kibler earned two road victories last week, allowing just one unearned run on three hits in seven innings against Fort Wayne on Tuesday before going the distance on a two-hitter Sunday at Lansing. The southpaw allowed just one earned run to the Lugnuts while striking out eight. In seven starts on the year, Kibler has yet to allow more than six hits in a game, and has given up just seven hits in his last 23 innings.

South Atlantic League
Ryan Miller, Lake County
2-0, 0.79 ERA, 2 G, 1 GS, 11.1 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 14 SO
Miller has dominated the South Atlantic League all season, earning two more wins last week to move to 7-0 on the year. The lefty allowed a run on two hits in six innings to West Virginia last Monday. Sunday against Lexington, Miller relieved a rehabbing Jake Westbrook and shut out the Legends for the final 5 1/3 innings for the 6-1 win. Miller has given up just 27 hits in 44 innings this season. The 21-year-old leads the league in wins and ERA while placing sixth in strikeouts.
