David Nail to Perform at McKechnie Field July 2

Country Star Highlights Night of Family Fun and Patriotic Honor at McKechnie Field
June 19, 2013

Bradenton, Fla. - The Bradenton Marauders will hold a patriotic celebration of epic proportions to honor America on Tuesday, July 2 at McKechnie Field. The Marauders host the Fort Myers Miracle at 6:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Country music star David Nail will perform a concert after the game.

Nail signed his first recording contract in 2002. In 2011 his album The Sound of a Million Dreams produced his first number one hit single, "Let it Rain." The title track from that album was also top-50 on the Hot Country Songs chart. He released his latest single, titled "Whatever She's Got", last month.

In addition to his chart-topping musical career, Nail is also an avid baseball fan. He has participated multiple times in the All Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game during the Major League Baseball All-Star festivities, highlighted by his home run in 2010 at Angels Stadium. He sang "God Bless America" during Game 7 of the 2011 World Series.

The first 1,000 fans at the game will receive a commemorative baseball. The Marauders will play the game in patriotic red, white, and blue jerseys that will be available for auction during the game. Winning bidders will be invited onto the field after the game to receive their jersey directly from the player and to have the jersey autographed.

On the field before the game, a special pre-game ceremony will be held to recognize World War II veterans who have participated or will participate in the Honor Flight of West Central Florida. After the game there will be a patriotic fireworks extravaganza presented by Bright House Networks and Budweiser. This will be the biggest fireworks show yet at newly-renovated McKechnie Field.
