Matt Kemp Scheduled to Continue Rehab With Isotopes This Homestand

June 21, 2013

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp is scheduled to start his Major League rehabilitation assignment Saturday June 22 with the Albuquerque Isotopes as they open a four-game homestand with the Round Rock Express. First pitch for Saturday's game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at Isotopes Park.

The Dodgers placed outfielder Kemp on the 15-day disabled list with a mild right hamstring strain on May 30. Kemp was batting .251 with two home runs and 17 RBI in 51 games this season. The Oklahoma native played four games on two rehab stints with the Isotopes last season, hitting .500 (8-for-16) with two doubles, two home runs, six runs scored and six RBI.

The two-time Gold Glove winner, All-Star and Silver Slugger was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the sixth round of the 2003 First-Year Player Draft and holds a career .292 batting average (1010-for-3456) in eight Major League seasons, all with Los Angeles. Kemp's media availability will be determined upon his arrival.
