Duck Dynasty's Mountain Man to Headline Redneck Night!

July 25, 2013

The Williamsport Crosscutters will welcome "Mountain Man" from the record-breaking A&E reality show Duck Dynasty as part of Redneck Night at the ballpark on Saturday, July 27 when the Cutters host the Jamestown Jammers at Historic Bowman Field. Gates will open at 6pm for the 7:05pm game.

"Mountain Man" will be a guest on Pregame Live at 6:25pm for a live on-field interview, throw a ceremonial first pitch and serve as a guest PA announcer for an inning (using his famously-slow speech pattern ) and meeting fans and signing autographs in the stadium concourse during the game. The appearance is presented by Shop Vac and KISS-102-7.

"Mountain Man," whose real name is Tim Guraedy, is a neighbor to the Robertsons, the Louisiana family that made a fortune from its best-selling duck calls, and around which the show is based. "Mountain Man" is the only semi-regular cast member who is not a Robertson family member or employee of Duck Commander. He is a neighbor who operates his own air-conditioning repair business, has a radio show and is known for talking very slowly.

Now on the verge of its fourth season, Duck Dynasty has become A&E's most-watched series in the network's history. The season 3 finale episode in April attracted a record 9.6 million viewers, 1 million more than the Season 3 premiere, which held the previous high mark. The Season 4 premiere of Duck Dynasty will air on August 14.

Other Redneck Night activities will include; the annual Belly-Buster eating competition presented by Economy Locker Storage, a Best Beard Contest (judged in part by Mountain Man), Redneck food and drink specials including boudin, a Robertson family favorite and fireworks after the game set to a redneck country musical theme. Redneck themed prizes will include tickets to NASCAR at Pocono and Duck Dynasty t-shirts.

Box seat tickets for the July 27 game are sold out. General admission tickets are still available by calling the Cutters Hotline at (570) 326-3389.
