ValleyCats extend partnership with the Houston Astros

TROY, NY - The Tri-City ValleyCats and Houston Astros have announced today, that they will be extending their Player Development Contract (PDC) for another two years, continuing their partnership through the 2016 season.

"The ValleyCats are pleased to continue our excellent relationship with the Houston Astros, which will mark our 15th and 16th years together," said ValleyCats President Bill Gladstone. "We look forward to many more winning seasons."

"It is truly a first class operation and a dynamic environment for our players, one that is very conducive to developing Major League players both on and off the field of play."

Since 2012, the ValleyCats have posted more wins than any Class A Short Season club by going 139-83 (.626). Over the past four seasons, Tri-City has won their league championship twice (2013, 2010), and this season captured their third consecutive Stedler Division Title.
