September 4, 2014

The Syracuse Chiefs are pleased to announce details for Game Three of the Governor's Cup semifinals, to be held on Friday night at 7 p.m. The Chiefs will host the Pawtucket Red Sox in the first playoff game ever at NBT Bank Stadium. Games Four and Five, if necessary, would be held on Saturday at 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The first 3,000 fans through the gates on Friday night will receive a rally towel to cheer on the Chiefs. In addition, the regular-season Fireworks Friday promotion has been extended to the postseason. Stay tuned after the final out for a spectacular fireworks extravaganza.

The rally towel and fireworks promotions come courtesy of the Chiefs' 2014 postseason sponsors: Coca-Cola, Blue Rock Energy, NBT Bank, Syracuse.com & The Post-Standard, Hofmann Hot Dogs, Dark Horse Tavern, Bull & Bear and Spinnaker Custom Products.

"The energy at NBT Bank Stadium has been awesome this season", said Chiefs general manager Jason Smorol. "Now it's time to take the Syracuse Chiefs' atmosphere to a whole new level with playoff baseball! To all our fans and sponsors - thank you for staying on board. Let's pack the house on Friday night!"
