Offensively Asheville was paced once again by Daniel Montano . The Tourists outfielder finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a pair of doubles. Montano went 9-for-15 in the series and tallied five extra-base hits.
After falling behind 1-0, Terrin Vavra drove in Montano with a single in the top of the fourth to tie the game. Asheville them took the lead on a two-out RBI double by Coco Montes later in the inning. The Tourists tacked on two more in the fifth. Both runs scored on a two-out double by Vavra who finished with a game-high three RBI.
Asheville added two insurance runs late in the game. Grant Lavigne singled home Montano in the eighth inning to extend his reach base streak to 11 straight games. LJ Hatch plated Montes in the ninth with an RBI single of his own.
Defensively the Tourists made several outstanding plays. Danny Edgeworth made a running catch in the visitor's bullpen and LeeMarcus Boyd had a highlight reel diving grab. Asheville also turned three double-plays.
