HARTFORD- Dillon Thomas' two-run home run into the upper deck in right-center capped a three-run ninth inning rally and lifted the Hartford Yard Goats to a dramatic 3-1 victory Friday night, before a sellout crowd of 6,655 at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Thomas' second home run of the season sent a surge through the second largest crowd ever at the new ballpark, and propelled his teammates into a delirious state, as he was greeted with an ice bucket shower at home plate.
Hartford starter
Gerber's homer came one night after his four-hit game, which included two home runs against the Goats. But it set the stage for the Hartford ninth inning comeback.
