(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- Shortstop José Rondόn launched two home runs as the Charlotte Knights beat the Indianapolis Indians by a score of 5-4 in game two of their three-game series from BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte. The win was Charlotte's fifth-straight. The Knights are now 5-1 on the homestand.

The win was Charlotte's fifth-straight. The Knights are now 5-1 on the homestand.

ondόn homered twice off Indianapolis RHP Tyler Eppler (9-5, 3.48), who was saddled with the loss. For Rondόn, it was his first multi-homer game of the season and first since May 30, 2015 with Lake Elsinore. He finished the night 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two home runs, and three RBIs. He currently leads the Knights in home runs this season with 12.

Charlotte LHP Matt Tomshaw (3-1, 8.58) started for the Knights and earned the victory after he allowed just two runs on seven hits over 5.1 innings pitched. RHP Ricardo Pinto (1.2 IP) and RHP Rob Scahill (1.0 IP) held the Indians scoreless in relief.

The Indians rallied in the top of the ninth inning against RHP Thyago Vieira and scored two runs to pull to within just one run. The Knights then turned to RHP Gregory Infante , who got the final two outs to earn his sixth save of the season.

Left fielder Eloy Jiménez, the top prospect in the Chicago White Sox system, continued his solid season with Charlotte. Jimenez, who homered twice in Friday's opener, went 3-for-4 on Saturday. The 21-year-old slugger now has eight hits over his last three games. Second baseman Jake Elmore went 2-for-3 with an RBI to raise his season average to .288.

The Knights will conclude their three-game series against the Indianapolis Indians (Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates) on Sunday at BB&T Ballpark. Gates are set to open at 11:00 a.m. for the 12:05 p.m. game on "Faith and Family" Day at the ballpark. J.J. Jansen, long snapper for the Carolina Panthers, will sign autographs for fans. Pre-game radio coverage of Sunday's game is set for 11:50 a.m. on 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte.
