PEARL, MS - On Sunday, May 27 the Atlanta Braves promoted Mississippi Braves RHP Wes Parsons to the Gwinnett Stripers (Triple-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves). LHP Daniel Lietz was promoted to Double-A Mississippi from Extended Spring Training and Gwinnett Stripers RHP Enderson Franco was transferred to Double-A Mississippi.  

PEARL, MS - On Sunday, May 27 the Atlanta Braves promoted Mississippi Braves RHP Wes Parsons to the Gwinnett Stripers (Triple-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves). LHP Daniel Lietz was promoted to Double-A Mississippi from Extended Spring Training and Gwinnett Stripers RHP Enderson Franco was transferred to Double-A Mississippi. 

 

Parsons, 25, was promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett from Double-A Mississippi. The right-hander has posted a 1-0 record and a 4.38 ERA (12.1IP/6ER) in two starts with Triple-A Gwinnett in 2018. Parsons began the 2018 season with Double-A Mississippi where he recorded a 1-2 record with a 1.23 ERA (29.1IP/4ER) before being promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett for the first time during the 2018 season on May 12. Parsons was signed by the Atlanta Braves as a non-drafted free agent on July 30, 2012 out of Jackson State Community College (Jackson, TN).  
Lietz, 23, was promoted to Double-A Mississippi from Extended Spring Training. Lietz has not played with any teams thus far in 2018. Leitz split the 2017 season between the Lansing Lugnuts (Class-A Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) and the Dunedin Blue Jays (Class-A Advanced Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays). The young southpaw combined to go 3-3 with a 3.92 ERA over the course of 38 games in 2017. Leitz earned two saves in five opportunities and allowed 54 H, 29 R, 26 ER, 2 HR, issued 40 BB and struck out 38 in 59.2 IP while posting a .245 AVG and a 1.58 WHIP. The Chicago Heights, Illinois native was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the fifth round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft out of Heartland Community College (Normal, Illinois).
Franco, 25, has appeared in 11 total games, earning seven starts with Double-A Mississippi in 2018. The right-hander is currently sporting a 1-4 record and a 4.61 ERA. In 41.0 IP, Franco has allowed 43 H, 27 R, 21 ER, 4 HR, issued 22 BB and struck out 46. The Anaco, Venezuela native was selected by the Atlanta Braves from the Miami Marlins in the minor league phase of the 2015 Rule 5 Draft on December 10, 2015.
The Mississippi Braves active roster currently stands at 25 players and 6 players remain on the Disabled List.
