The Harrisburg Senators defeated the Erie Seawolves 4-2 to complete their first series sweep of the season. The Senators extended their season-long winning streak to five games.

The Senators opened the scoring with a run in the second against Erie starter Sandy Baez. Two batters after a leadoff single by Drew Ward, Zach Collier hit an RBI double to right to give the Senators a 1-0 advantage.
The Senators added another run in the fourth when Stephen Perez reached on an infield single, which drove home Adam Walker who walked to start the inning.
A.J. Simcox put Erie on the board in the sixth with an RBI triple off Senators starter Logan Darnell.
That was the only run Darnell (3-1) allowed along with seven hits while striking out three and walking one.
Drew Ward gave the Senators a three-run lead in the sixth when he blasted a pitch from Baez over the left field fence for a two-run home run as the Senators took a 4-1 lead.
"(Drew's) starting to figure some stuff out. He's had a lot shorter swing the last few weeks and he's giving himself a chance by getting some good pitches to hit," Senators manager Matt LeCroy said. "Hopefully he'll continue to do what he's doing and he'll carry it over."
Baez (0-3) surrendered four runs, three earned, on six hits over five frames.
The SeaWolves scored their final run in the ninth on an inside-the-park home run by Jake Robson. That was the only run that Senators relievers Roman Mendez, Jeff Ames and Bryan Harper allowed over the final three and two-thirds innings as the team won 4-2 to complete the three-game sweep.
Ward was the only Senators to finish with multiple hits and multiple RBI, as he went 2-4 with a home run and two RBI. The Senators have won five straight games for the first time since August 23-26, 2016.
"In all of our phases we're doing a lot better and we're more consistent. We're catching the ball, throwing more strikes and getting some big hits," LeCroy said. "Situationally we're doing a little bit better job of driving runners in and our bullpen is doing a little better in different spots. A lot of things are coming together really nicely."
"We just have to keep working and preparing every day to go out and be great. The guys have a little confidence right now. It's a good group and they've got good chemistry. Now we just have to carry it over and keep winning."
The Senators finish the homestand with a four-game series against the Altoona Curve which begins Friday night. The Senators send Brady Dragmire to the mound against Curve starter Brandon Waddell. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at FNB Field. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Harrisburg 96.5 & 95.3 FM and 1400 AM or at www.cbssportsharrisburg.com beginning at 6:45 p.m.
