Summary
The Senators and Hartford Yard Goats split a twin bill Tuesday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford with the Goats winning game one 5-3 and the Sens bouncing back and rallying for a 5-4 win in game two. In game one, Hartford scored all five runs in the fourth inning and then held on for the win. In game two, the Senators rallied from a 3-1 hole to tie the game in the sixth then scored two in the eighth for the win. David Masters drove in three runs in the for the Sens including the tying runs in the sixth inning. Aaron Barrett earned his 31st save of the year in game two.
On Capitol Hill
•   Mario Sanchez started game one and went 3.2 innings before leaving. He retired nine of the first 10 batters but was then touched for five runs on seven hits in the fifth inning for the loss.
•   Bryan Bonnell went the final 2.1 innings and allowed three hits and struck out three.
•   Andrew Lee started game two and pitched well. He went five innings and allowed three runs, one earned on three hits.
•   Jordan Mills tossed two innings and pitched out of a jam in the seventh inning to earn the win, his sixth with the Sens this season.
•   Aaron Barrett pitched the eighth and allowed the placed runner to score but struck out the final batter with the tying run at third base.
With the Gavel
•   Dante Bichette, Jr. had three hits, a double, drove in a run and scored a run in game one.
•   Adrían Sanchez had a pair of hits including a double in the first game. 
•   David Masters had three hits and drove in three runs in game two.
•   Jake Lowery had three hits, two doubles, and drove in a run in game two.
•   Nick Banks had two doubles, scored twice, and drove in a run in the second game. 
•   Luis Garcia and Ian Sagdal both had two hits in game two. 
Filibusters
•   Adrian Sanchez singled in the first inning of game one for his 1,000th minor league hit.
•   The Senators are 9-5 in doubleheaders this season.
•   With Bowie's win and Erie's postponement, the Baysox have a half-game lead on Erie. Erie has a doubleheader at home against Richmond Wednesday while Bowie plays a single game at Reading.
