Norwich, CT - Kerry Carpenter went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, but the Connecticut Tigers (34-40) fell by a final score of 4-2 to the Lowell Spinners (40-34). This was Carpenter's first RBI of his New York-Penn League career. The Tigers got on the board first with

Norwich, CT - Kerry Carpenter went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, but the Connecticut Tigers (34-40) fell by a final score of 4-2 to the Lowell Spinners (40-34). This was Carpenter's first RBI of his New York-Penn League career.
The Tigers got on the board first with the first RBI of the contest from the 19th-round draft pick, Carpenter, to make it 1-0. Connecticut added to their lead in the fifth with an RBI double down the left-field line by Nick Quintana. The 2019 second-round draft pick finished 1-for-4 with an RBI.
Cleiverth Perez pitched five scoreless innings for the Tigers in his first New York-Penn League start. Perez gave up no runs on two hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
The Spinners got their first run of the contest in the seventh inning. Matthew Lugo drove in a run with an RBI single to center off of Austin Bergner (Loss, 0-2) to make it 2-1.  
Lowell tied the game on an RBI single by Antoni Flores in the eighth. Rolandi Bladwin gave the Spinners the lead with an RBI sacrifice fly to make it 3-2. Will Dalton added the final run of the frame on a wild pitch to make it 4-2.
Osvaldo De La Rosa (Win, 5-1) pitched a hitless 1.1 innings in the seventh and eighth frames, and Kris Jackson (Save, 8) pitched the final frame in the ninth for Lowell.
