San Antonio, TX—For the second straight night, extra innings was needed but this time the San Antonio Missions came out on top, 2-1 over the Arkansas Travelers in 10 innings. The game was a pitcher’s duel with both starters not allowing a run. Connor Jones delivered the longest start of the season by a Trav going seven shutout innings allowing just two hits and three walks while striking out six. On the other side, Matt Waldron worked six scoreless frames with Arkansas mustering just two hits. San Antonio got the game’s first run in the bottom of the eighth on a two out hit from Esteury Ruiz.

Moments That Mattered

* Arkansas tied the game in the top of the ninth on a clutch two out single by Jack Larsen off Missions closer Angel Felipe.

* After the Travs failed to score in the top of the 10th and left the bases loaded, San Antonio quickly won it in the bottom of the 10th. An errant pickoff throw to second moved the automatic runner to third base and then after a strikeout, a wild pitch brought the winning run home.

Notable Travs Performances

* LF Connor Hoover: 2-4

* RHP Connor Jones: 7 IP, 2 H, 3 BB, 6 K, 91 pitches

News and Notes

* All three games so far in the series have been decided by a single run.

* Travs second baseman Kaden Polcovich was ejected in the middle of the 10th inning after being called out on strikes on a borderline pitch.
