Thursday's series opener in Myrtle Beach postponed

Myrtle Beach and Salem will play a Friday twin bill at 5:30 p.m.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (August 3, 2017) - Thursday's game between the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and the Salem Red Sox has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday, with the first game getting underway at 5:30 p.m.

Fans can exchange tickets from Thursday's game for any remaining regular season Pelicans game this year or in the future. 

Myrtle Beach will play their sixth doubleheader of the season on Friday, with the Birds currently 6-6 in twin bills so far in 2017. 

Both games of Friday's twin bill will be seven innings. The Pelicans will throw RHP Thomas Hatch (4-9, 3.79) in game one, with Myrtle Beach RHP Kyle Miller (2-3, 5.05) starting game two. Coverage of Friday's doubleheader will begin at 5:15 p.m. on MiLB.tv, MyrtleBeachPelicans.com/Broadcast, the MiLB First Pitch app and TuneIn.
