Blue Wahoos Announce Travel Roster
PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Pensacola Blue Wahoos players arrived to Pensacola on Sunday, April 5th. The players were greeted by dozens of fans eager to start the season and meet the 2015 Blue Wahoos.
The Blue Wahoos are excited to announce its travel roster for Opening Day including five of Baseball America's top 30 Reds prospects. No. 1 prospect Robert Stephenson and No. 3 prospect Jesse Winker top the list.
Daniel Corcino is back to Pensacola after earning at promotion to Cincinnati last year. Kyle Waldrop, the Reds Minor League Hitter of the Year, returns to Pensacola along with infielder Seth Mejias-Brean.
15 members of the 2014 team return to Pensacola while six players are looking to make their Double-A debuts with the Blue Wahoos: Sean Buckley, Wandy Peralta, Juan Silva, Layne Somsen, Zach Vincej and Daniel Wright.
The roster includes 13 pitchers, two catchers, seven infielders and four outfielders.
Pitchers (13): Tim Adleman (RH), Daniel Corcino (RH), Carlos Gonzalez (RH), Drew Hayes (RH), Ben Klimesh (RH), Kyle McMyne (RH), Wandy Peralta (LH), Chad Rogers (RH), Kevin Shackelford (RH), Layne Somsen (RH), Robert Stephenson (RH), Marcus Walden* (RH) and Daniel Wright (RH).
Catchers (2): Yovan Gonzalez and Kyle Skipworth.
Infielders (7): Ray Chang, Seth Mejias-Brean, Juan Perez, Marquez Smith, Zach Vincej, Kyle Waldrop and Ryan Wright.
Outfielders (4): Beau Amaral, Sean Buckley*, Juan Silva and Jesse Winker.
