Chevy Youth Baseball Clinic: June 14-15

In one of the earlier years the Pensacola Blue Wahoos hosted the Chevy Youth Baseball Clinic, team president Jonathan Griffith had a group of kids approach.
Their reason was simple.
"Mr. Griffith, "We just want to thank you for the opportunity to play on that field. We had such a great time."
The next opportunity for area kids awaits June 14-15 when the Blue Wahoos host this year's Chevy Youth Clinic for ages 5-14 at Blue Wahoos Stadium.
What makes this great? First of all, it's free. Yes, free. And it includes instruction from Blue Wahoos players. So aspiring youth get to work out, learn from future Major League Baseball players.
So here's the deal: visit www.chevrolet.com/youthsports to sign up. Spots at the camps are expected to fill quickly. Pensacola has annually been one of the leaders in participation for this event.
On Friday, June 14, the camp is from 10 a.m. to noon. The same schedule holds for Saturday, June 15.
When parents sign up their kids from the website, click the gold-colored, "Clinic Registration" box. Select Pensacola Blue Wahoos and click on "Go." Enter password "playball" for free entry.
When attending, all participants or their parents need to bring a signed waiver, which can be downloaded on the side. Aside from that, each kid will receive a lunch and the time of their lives.
The kids will be broken into various groups according to age and it will be a fun, yet meaningful two-hour event on baseball.
