Roster Move: Bryson Smith To Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Cincinnati Reds have announced the following roster change for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos prior to tonight's game against the Chattanooga Lookouts.

·         Bryson Smith, OF, transferred from Louisville

·         Beau Amaral, OF, placed on DL

Smith, 27, has played in 19 games for the Triple-A Louisville Bats this season and is hitting .239 with four RBIs. No stranger to the Blue Wahoos, Smith has made an appearance on Pensacola's roster each season since the team's inception in 2012. He holds an all-time .274 batting average while wearing a Blue Wahoos uniform (181 games).

Amaral, 25, is hitting .280 this season with two home runs, 13 runs and 14 RBIs for the Blue Wahoos.

The Reds also announced the promotion of RHP Daniel Wright from Billings to Louisville. Wright was 2-0 with a 0.45 ERA for the Blue Wahoos in two starts and six appearances. This is Wright's first trip to Triple-A.  

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos have 25 active players on the roster.
