Jonathan Griffith joined the team in October 2010 after a five-year tenure as the Vice President/General Manager for the Potomac Nationals (High Class A; Carolina League). Prior to coming to Nationals, he was the Assistant General Manager of the Kinston Indians (High Class A; Carolina League) and Stadium Operations Manager for the Richmond Braves (Class AAA; International League). Griffith was the Assistant Director of Stadium Operations for the Carolina Panthers in 2003. In March of 2015, Griffith was promoted to President of the Blue Wahoos and placed on the Blue Wahoos Board of Trustees. Later in 2015, he was named President of Studer Entertainment and Retail.
Griffith earned a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from High Point University and a Masters Degree in Sports Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.
A native of Maryland, Jonathan is an avid fan of the Maryland Terrapins and Washington Redskins. He also enjoys fishing, the beach, traveling and running. Jonathan resides in Pensacola with his wife, Courtney, their children, Callie and JC, and dog, Dice.
Raised in southern California, Donna Kirby relocated to Pensacola in January of 2009, and is proud to call Florida home. Prior to joining the Blue Wahoos' front office staff, Donna's career was mainly based in the entertainment industry working for such leaders as Warner Bros, NBC/Universal, and The Walt Disney Company. During her tenure with the Blue Wahoos, Donna has managed several departments including merchandise, community relations, promotions, non-traditional revenue, and stadium operations. In her role as Vice President of Operations, Donna manages an award-winning game day staff and oversees a robust surveying platform that has helped earn the Wahoos the title of #1 Fan Experience in Minor League Baseball. Donna studied Economics at California State University, Long Beach. On her days away from the stadium, Donna enjoys spending time with her dog, Maggie, learning new recipes for vegan cooking and exploring all of the exciting things there are to do along the Florida Gulf Coast.
Candice Miller joined the Blue Wahoos in October of 2016. She is the Human Resources Director for The Studer Family of Companies and has been with the organization since December 2014. She is certified by the HR Certification Institute as a Professional in Human Resources and a Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management. During her 20-year career in Human Resources, Candice has worked in all aspects of the field and held various HR positions that increased in levels of responsibility. She is a member of the Greater Pensacola Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and a national member for the Society of Human Resource Management. Raised in Pensacola, she graduated from Pine Forest High School and atteneded Pensacola State College. She enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and attending sporting events with her two sons, Christian and Dawson.
Dawn joined the Blue Wahoos in 2017 as the Receptionist, bringing experience in purchasing and other administrative positions to the Pensacola front office. She primarily handles the receptionist duties as well as administrative assistant tasks as assigned for that organization. If you call the Blue Wahoos, it's most likely her friendly voice that will greet you! On her days off, she enjoys spending time with her husband and grandchildren fishing or relaxing at the beach.
Amber McClure joined the team in January 2013. She is a Certified Public Accountant by trade and graduated from the University of West Florida with a B.S. in Business Administration and a Masters of Accountancy. Prior to joining the Blue Wahoos team, she worked for the City of Pensacola as the Senior Accountant for nine years where she was an integral part of building the $56 million Vince Whibbs Sr. Community Maritime Park, home of the Blue Wahoos Stadium. As Chief Financial Officer for Studer Entertainment and Retail, Amber serves as a key member of the Executive Management team overseeing the operation of Studer companies in eight locations and two states. She also serves as Treasurer for several non-profits, including the Studer Community Institute, The Beacon, and Chain Reaction as well as serving as Finance Chair at Woodbine United Methodist. For her outstanding work with the Blue Wahoos, she was named Southern League Woman of the Year in 2018. A Pensacola native, she enjoys the beach and spending time her her sons Seth and Preston.
Sally joined the Blue Wahoos in March of 2014. A born-and-raised local of Pensacola, Sally attended Pensacola High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. Before coming to the Wahoos, Sally worked for Southern Traffic Services in Gulf Breeze as the Accounting Manager for nine years. She has 16 years of experience in the accounting field. Sally is a member of the Pensacola Big Game Fishing Club and, as long as the weather cooperates, you will find her most weekends on her boat fishing with her husband Chris.
Pam began working with the Blue Wahoos as a ticket-taker during the 2014 Baseball Season. Shortly afterward she accepted a full-time position as the Front Desk Receptionist. In July of 2017, she became the Accounts Payable specialist for not only the Blue Wahoos, but several other entities in the Studer Family of Companies as well. She relocated to the Sunshine State five years ago with her husband Carl, who is an usher at Blue Wahoos Stadium, and they are now enjoying downtown Pensacola life as Southtowne Apartment residents.
Kaitlyn joined the Blue Wahoos in January 2019 as an accoutning intern. An accounting major with a minor in criminal justice at the University of West Florida, she grew up locally in Pensacola. When not studying, she enjoys baking, being with her family, and watching Wahoos games.
Alex Sides joined the Blue Wahoos in October 2018, bringing over 10 years of experience in professional sports to Pensacola as the team's new Vice President of Sales. He joined the Blue Wahoos from the Miami Heat where he worked as Ticket Sales Account Manager for three seasons. Prior to working for the Heat, he spent six seasons in professional baseball with the New Orleans Zephyrs, Memphis Redbirds, West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, and the Peoria Chiefs as well as an additional season in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies. A graduate of Western Illinois University, Alex holds a Bachelor in Marketing and is a native of Eureka, Ill.
Dakota Lee is the Box Office and Sales Manager. He oversees all the Pensacola Blue Wahoos ticket operations. His duties include working with season ticket holders, developing mini-plans, and facilitating group tickets. Lee earned a bachelors in Sport Management and a master's degree in Business Administration; both from the University of West Florida. He has worked in the athletic department for UWF throughout the last three years and has served as the box office manager for the last two years. Lee is passionate about sports, and his family. He grew up on a farm along the Florida/Georgia line where his family grew watermelons and worked cattle. Lee is a huge supporter of the Argos, Florida State Seminoles, and the Philadelphia Eagles. "I feel blessed to have had an awesome support system, and countless mentors. I look forward to my first season working with the Blue Wahoos," said Lee.
Steven joined the Blue Wahoos prior to the 2019 season as a Corporate Sales Executive. A native of Orlando, FL., he attended Flagler College, graduating with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Economics. After college, he spent two years as Stadium Operations Manager for the Jacksonville Suns, a season as an Account Executive for the West Virginia Power, and two years as Director of Sales for the Beloit Snappers. When not at the office, he enjoys cheering on the Orlando Magic and Green Bay Packers and exploring Pensacola with his wife.
Shannon is from Clearwater, FL and graduated from Largo High School. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Florida State University. She began her career in event sales and coordination as the Membership Director/Events Coordinator at Pensacola Country Club before launching her own wedding planning business. She spent the next five years planning and coordinating weddings and events with clients across the southeast. Most recently, Shannon launched Great Southern Weddings, the wedding planning arm of Collier Merrill's Great Southern family of restaurants, catering, and bartending companies. In addition to planning and coordinating with Great Southern Weddings clients, she managed bookings for Old Christ Church and Barkley House, two of Pensacola's most popular wedding ceremony and reception venues. Shannon's work has been published in Southern Weddings - the country's premier publication for brides - as well as The Knot and Southern Bride magazines, among others. Recently, Great Southern Weddings - the event planning company Shannon launched here in Pensacola - won runner-up in Best of the Coast in its first year in business. In her spare time, Shannon enjoys exploring Pensacola with her husband DC and their two year old daughter Caroline.
Danny joined the Blue Wahoos in 2017 as a Box Office Trainee, spending two years in the position before being promoted to Assistant Box Office Manager. A native of nearby Milton, FL., Danny attended Pace High School before studying at the University of West Florida. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing.
Bailie joined the Blue Wahoos in 2017 as a Group Sales Intern, moving up to Group Sales Trainee during the 2018 season before earning a promotion to Group Sales Executive. From nearby Pace, Fla., she attended the University of West Florida, graduating with a degree in Marketing with a minor in Management and a Social Media Marketing specialization.
Wesley spent the 2018 season as a Box Office Trainee for the Blue Wahoos before his promotion to Group Sales Executive. Hailing from Quitman, Miss., he holds a Bachelor in Sports Studies from Mississippi State and helped host the 2017 NJCAA National Softball Championship with the Clinton Parks and Recreation Department in Clinton, Miss. Outside of baseball, he is an Eagle Scout and worked for six years as a firefighter before getting into professional sports.
Gracey joined the Blue Wahoos in 2018 as a promotions trainee and is now currently serving as the Season Ticket Concierge. From Jay, Florida, Gracey graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in Hospitality, Recreation & Resort Management with a minor in Sports Management. In her free time she enjoys baking and spending time with her puppy!
Anna Striano started with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in 2017 after working with the Class-A Advanced High Desert Mavericks. Born and raised in the small mountain town of Big Bear Lake, CA, she graduated from Grand Canyon University with her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and her MBA with an emphasis in Sports Business. When not at the ballpark, she enjoys reading, spending time at the beach with friends, hunting down the perfect taco spot, and cheering on the LA Kings and Chargers.
Kelsie Massey started with the Blue Wahoos at the beginning of the 2019 season. She is originally from Iowa, but move to Pensacola in 2017 with her husband. She graduated from Iowa State University with her Bachelor of Science in Apparel, Merchandising and Design with an emphasis in Merchandising. After college, Kelsie spent some time in Chicago working as an Assistant Buyer for Follett Higher Education Group and as a Associate Digital Business Manager with Claire's Stores. In her free time she enjoys taking her dog to the beach, watching the Blue Angels, and eating delicious food!
A native of Pensacola, FL, Clara is a senior at the University of West Florida. She will graduate in the spring of 2019 with a degree in Marketing. She joined the Blue Wahoos in January of 2018 as a Creative Services Intern and was hired as a Community Relations Trainee in May 2018. After graduation, she hopes to continue working in baseball and in the community. When away from the office, she enjoys cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide and kicking a soccer ball around with friends.
Broadcasting professionally since 2003, Tommy Thrall also reports for WEAR with weekend coverage of college football and has hosted a mid-day radio show on Cat Country 98.7 since the end of last baseball season. During the fall he broadcasted the Friday Night Rivals high school game of the week on WFGX-TV. He also does regional television announcing with Cox Sports Television and works with the University of West Florida broadcasting some of their basketball and baseball games.
Before joining the Blue Wahoos, he spent the previous two seasons as the Media Relations Director and Broadcaster of the St. Louis Cardinals Single-A affiliate, the Quad Cities River Bandits. While in the Quad Cities he also worked on local radio and television stations in the offseason announcing high school and college football, basketball and baseball games.
He began his career in broadcasting working for both his university and the Kansas City T-Bones of the independent Northern League, while still earning his degree in broadcasting from Northwest Missouri State University. A Midwest guy, Tommy grew up just outside of Kansas City, Missouri in the small town of Smithville. He now calls Pensacola home. In 2015 he was named the Southern League Broadcaster of the Year.
Daniel joined the Blue Wahoos prior to the 2019 season. A native of Cannon Falls, MN., he is a lifelong Twins fan. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN with a degree in Social Studies Education and worked as a middle and high school teacher in the United States and abroad prior to pursuing a career in sports. After serving in Nicaragua with the non-profit Helping Kids Round First as an English-language teacher and baseball coach, he joined the Toronto Blue Jays as Media Relations Coordinator for Spring Training and their Advanced-A affiliate, the Dunedin Blue Jays. After two seasons with the Blue Jays, he moved north to Pensacola to join the Blue Wahoos Media Department.
Adam attended the University of West Florida, where he would go on to receive an internship with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos during their inaugural season in 2012. After the 2012 season, Waldron would move from an intern to a trainee and would finally land the job of Creative Service Manager in 2013.
Derek is originally from the small town of Jay, FL. He is a graduate of Pensacola State College, where he earned his degree in Digital/Video Broadcasting. After graduating in 2008, he founded Untitled Film Projects, his freelance video production company. In 2013 he joined the Blue Wahoos as a camera operator. In 2014 and 2015 he worked as a Creative Services Trainee, and was hired as a Creative Services Assistant for the 2016 season. When he is not working, Derek enjoys spending time with friends, running, rooting for the Florida Gators and Pittsburgh Steelers, and interviewing guests for his podcast, The Derek Diamond Experience.
A Pensacola Sports Hall of Famer for his terrific coverage of athletics in the Panhandle during a 32-year career with the Pensacola News Journal, Bill joins the Blue Wahoos and Studer55 as their Senior Writer in January 2019. His award-winning coverage has included MLB All-Star Weekend, the FIFA World Cup, the Olympics, the Super Bowl, five Masters tournaments, the NCAA Final Four, the NCAA National Title Game, Major League Spring Training, and every season of Pensacola Pelicans and Blue Wahoos baseball.
Mike Crenshaw joined the Blue Wahoos in March of 2012. He is a native of Pensacola. Before joining the Wahoos, Mike was the Park and Building Maintenance Manager for the City of Pensacola. Mike is active in volunteering his time in his community and church. He also coaches and umpires baseball for the inner city league. Mike is married to his high school sweetheart and they share three wonderful children together and now have three grandchildren. When he's not working at the ballpark, he can be found riding his bike, traveling, playing softball or spending time with his friends and family.
Originally from Crestview, Florida, Dustin Hannah was raised in a miltary family. He graduated from highs chool in Honolulu, Hawaii, where his step father was stationed in the United States Air Force. He received a degree in Turf Management from Florida Gateway College in Lake City, Florida. After completing turf school, he worked for the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins at Roger Dead Stadium, their shared Spring Training site. Starting out as an intern, he worked his way up to Assistant Head Groundskeeper before joining the Blue Wahoos as their Head Groudnskeeper. When away from the ballpark, he enjoys spending time with family, freshwater and saltwater fishing, hunting, and watching the University of Florida and Jacksonville Jaguars.
