2020 Race Cancelled
2020 Race Cancelled
Regrettably, the Sea Dogs Mother's Day 5K scheduled for Sunday, May 10th is cancelled. After consulting with public health officials and our race committee it is in the best interest of the public to not hold the race this year
At this time there are three options available for those that registered. You may donate your entry fee to the American Cancer Society of Maine, transfer your registration to 2021, or receive a refund. Please follow the prompts below to make your selection.
READ CAREFULLY: Your basic registration information has been manually transferred offline to RunSignUp (RSU), which is the system we're using to solicit and process your cancellation options. This will be the registration system we'll be using in 2021. We apologize for the cumbersome steps needed to select your cancellation option.
Start by going to the RSU webpage https://runsignup.com/Race/ME/Portland/PortlandSeaDogsMothersDay5K You'll begin by selecting your preferred option and click "Continue".
Then you must claim your registration for this race using Option 2, enter the email address [[email protected]] that you used initially to registered with and click "Look Up Registration". You will receive as email to this address form RunSignUp to claim your registration account. We have attached to assist with navigating this process.
Any runner that doesn't select an option by Sunday, May 10th will automatically be deferred to 2021 and refunds will no longer be offered after this deadline. All refunds will be processed by the registration website beginning Monday, May 11th but this process may take up to 30 days following May 11th.
We look forward to seeing everyone for the 2021 Mother's Day Road Race on Sunday, May 9th, 2021. In the meantime please stay safe.
Slugger and his Mom lead the way on the flat 5K course which begins in front of the Portland Expo building, travels down Congress Street, turning down Stevens Avenue, and making a right onto Brighton Avenue back down Deering Avenue into Fitzpatrick Stadium. The race culminates inside Hadlock Field in front of the third-base dugout.
The top overall male and female finishers will receive a trophy, a pair of 2020 Season Tickets for the remainder of the 2020 Sea Dogs season, and throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to a future Sea Dogs game. The top three male and female finishers in each age group will also be presented with awards. All participants of the race will receive a complimentary ticket to attend a future Sea Dogs game.
