Teacher of the Month Program

presented by Unitil

The Unitil Teacher of the Month Award program honors educators from all grade levels and disciplines who are improving student achievement, using innovative strategies in the classroom during these challenging times, and making a difference in the lives of their students.

Teachers and other educators change the lives of millions of children and adults every day, and their work and impact extend far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. They play a pivotal role in our lives and those of our children, inspiring a lifelong love of learning and discovery and making a difference in their well-being and long-term success. To show thanks and gratitude for these important contributions to our community, each month from August 2021 through December 2021, the Portland Sea Dogs, thanks to Unitil, will recognize one educator in the community who has made a difference in the lives of a Maine or New Hampshire student.

Each winner will receive:

  • Sea Dogs Hat
  • Sea Dogs Mug
  • Sea Dog Pencils
  • $150 Sea Dogs Gift Card
  • $100 Spa and Wellness gift card courtesy of Unitil
  • $400 Gift Card to be used in the classroom courtesy of Unitil
