Prospect Adolfo named SAL Annual All-Star

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (August 29, 2017) - Kannapolis Intimidators outfielder and Chicago White Sox prospect Micker Adolfo has been named to the South Atlantic League Annual All-Star Team, the league announced Tuesday. Adolfo, who was named to the All-Star Team as the designated hitter, is batting .264 (112-424) with team-highs 28 doubles, 16 home runs, and 68 RBI while also adding two triples, 31 walks, and 60 runs scored in 112 games with Kannapolis.
Adolfo, the No. 16 Prospect in the White Sox organization, currently ranks tied for fourth in the South Atlantic League in home runs, eighth in RBI, ninth in doubles, 11th in slugging percentage (.453), 15th in OPS (.784), tied for 23rd in on-base percentage (.331), 25th in average. The White Sox signed Adolfo on July 2, 2013.
The Chicago White Sox named Adolfo their Minor League Player of the Month for May and June as the outfielder helped push the Intimidators into the post-season as the SAL Northern Division First Half Champions.  
Adolfo is the first Intimidators player to make the South Atlantic League Annual All-Star Team since 2013 when second baseman Micah Johnson was named to the team.
