Redbirds Announce Spring Training Schedule

Twelve-Game Grapefruit League Schedule Begins March 14
February 13, 2013

The Memphis Redbirds have announced their 2013 Grapefruit League spring training schedule in Jupiter, Florida.

Roger Dean Stadium is a spring training complex/stadium specially designed to house both the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins. The teams share the main stadium where Major League spring training games are played, but each team has separate practice fields, outdoor batting cages, several pitching mounds, and state-of-the-art conditioning rooms.

Cardinals early camp minor league participants will report to Jupiter on February 22, with their first workout scheduled for the following day. The rest of the minor league workouts will not begin until March 4 (pitchers/catchers) and March 6 (position players).

Memphis will compete against two Pacific Coast League opponents during the spring: the Las Vegas 51s and New Orleans Zephyrs.

The Redbirds first spring game is a Cardinals intrasquad camp day on Wednesday, March 13, following by their first contest on the next day on Thursday, March 14.

All games start at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Admission to the minor league complex is free.

Opening Night is just around the corner. The Redbirds host the visiting Oklahoma City RedHawks at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 at AutoZone Park.

Season tickets, mini-packs, and group outing packages are currently on sale, while individual game tickets will be available for purchase at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4. Contact the Redbirds at (901) 722-0299 to order or click here for further details.
