FRISCO, Texas (Sept. 1, 2017) - The Frisco RoughRiders have broken the franchise's all-time merchandise sales record for a single season in 2017. The previous record was set in 2003, the team's inaugural season in Frisco.
Riders Outpost, the official team store, reached its new sales record with four games left in the regular season. Fans of the RoughRiders have flocked to Riders Outpost outlets, including the online store, throughout 2017.
"The new sales record is a testament to the hard work and commitment to excellence of our staff at Riders Outpost and throughout the organization," RoughRiders Chief Operating Officer Scott Burchett said. "It's also shows the passion our fans have for the RoughRiders less than three years after the franchise rebranded with new logos and color scheme."
The RoughRiders unveiled Teddy Roosevelt-inspired uniforms and logos to rave reviews before the 2015 season. Among the best-selling items are Smiling Teddy logo t-shirts, Smiling Teddy adjustable caps and on-field fitted caps.
"It has been a great experience working with such a fun and vibrant brand," RoughRiders Merchandise Manager Jen Adamczyk said. "We could not have reached this goal without the help of the entire Riders staff and, of course, RoughRider fans!"
Riders Outpost was named in honor of the outpost Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders lived in during the battle at San Juan Hill. Riders Outpost has one main location and three kiosk locations inside Dr Pepper Ballpark. Since the creation of the Riders Outpost, the store has been one of the top selling outlets in Minor League Baseball.
The Riders Outpost is open year round Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Official Riders gear can be purchased online at roughriders.milbstore.com. The store is conveniently located at the southwest corner of Dr Pepper Ballpark, next to the home plate gate.
