Round Rock Express Announce 2019 Theme Night Schedule

Field of Dreams Night, Space Night and Several Dog-Friendly Games Highlight Schedule

ROUND ROCK, Texas - What do chupacabras, NASA, princesses and Dwier Brown have in common? They'll all make appearances at Dell Diamond in 2019 as part of a loaded slate of Round Rock Express theme nights! In advance of the club's 20th anniversary season, presented by H-E-B, the new Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros released their entire 37-game slate of theme nights on Thursday morning.

The fun kicks off with Opening Day, presented by Dell, on Tuesday, April 9 against the Nashville Sounds (Texas Rangers affiliate). The first 2,000 fans through the gate will receive a commemorative 20th anniversary coin, thanks to Dell, before being treated to a special postgame fireworks show.

As part of Minor League Baseball's Copa de la Diversión campaign, the Round Rock Chupacabras will make their first of five appearances on Sunday, April 14. Round Rock will host four additional Copa games on Friday, May 24, Sunday, June 2, Sunday, July 14 and Sunday, August 18.

Dell Diamond is going to the dogs a record seven times in 2019, with a dedicated Pints & Pups night each month of the season. Fans are invited to bring their dogs to the ballpark while enjoying discounted draft beer specials as part of The Original Thirsty Thursday, presented by Firetrol Protection Systems, on April 11, May 16, June 13, July 11 and August 15. The team is also hosting a pair of Bark in the Park events on Sunday, April 28 and Monday, August 26.

The annual Education Day is set for Monday, April 15. Dell Diamond will become the biggest classroom in Texas for a special 11:35 a.m. first pitch, complete with exhibits throughout the ballpark covering science, history, geography and math, as well as college admissions officers, recruiters, giveaways and more.

"The Force" returns to Dell Diamond on Friday, April 26 for Star Wars Night, presented by United Heritage Credit Union. Next up, on Saturday, April 27, the Express host Dwier Brown, who played John Kinsella in the classic baseball movie Field of Dreams.

The E-Train will celebrate all things Central Texas on Sunday, May 12 for (512) Day. The 1:05 p.m. game features a tribute to the 512 area code, complete with special $5.12 general admission lawn tickets. A week later, Fitness in the Park returns bigger and better than ever on Sunday, May 19.

Fans can raise their glasses for a toast during Wine & Nine on Wednesday, May 22. The Express will be offering a special $10 ticket add-on that includes a silicone Express wine tumbler and access to an exclusive wine tasting event.

The annual Military Appreciation Night, presented by Navy Federal Credit Union, is scheduled for Thursday, May 23. The Express will honor all branches of the United States Armed Forces during a moving nine innings of baseball prior to Memorial Day weekend.

Round Rock's first-ever Comic Con Night is slated for Friday, June 14. Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite comic book superheroes to celebrate the occasion. Thanks to United Heritage Credit Union, Sunday, June 16 is the day for dads as the United Heritage Center is transformed into an exclusive Father's Day lounge. Access to the lounge can be added to a game ticket for an additional $10.

Dell Diamond will become a royal palace on Monday, June 17 for Princess Night. Fans are encouraged to sport their best regal attire and can purchase an $8 ticket add-on that includes access to an exclusive princess meet-and-greet.

A handful of lucky fans will be heading home with a previously-loved ride on Saturday, June 29 for the annual Win a Used Car Night, presented by the Nyle Maxwell Family of Dealerships. Fans can enter a raffle to win a used car during select inning breaks.

Round Rock will host their Independence Day Celebration, presented on eBay, on Wednesday, July 3, complete with the biggest postgame fireworks show of the year.

NASA will take over Dell Diamond on Friday, July 12 for Round Rock's inaugural Space Night. Along with NASA, the team will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing, which took place on July 20, 1969.

Another "out of this world" celebration is set for Saturday, July 13 as the Express host 90s Night. The totally tubular theme night comes complete with a fanny pack giveaway for the first 2,500 fans, thanks to H-E-B, before a postgame concert by 90s cover band Zoodust as part of the St. David's Summer Concert Series, presented by Dell.

During the "dog days of summer," Round Rock will host Hot Dog-Palooza, an exclusive Dell Diamond hot dog sampling event. Fans can purchase a special $10 ticket add-on to join hot dog heaven on Wednesday, July 17. First Responders Night, presented by United Heritage Credit Union, is scheduled for Thursday, July 18 as the Express honor all of our police, fire, EMS and other first responders.

Bears, beets and Battlestar Galactica will be on full display for The Office Night on Thursday, July 25. Next up, Dell Diamond will transform into Hogwarts on Wednesday, July 31 for Wizarding Night at the Ballpark.

Prost! Augtoberfest returns on Thursday, August 1. Fans can join an exclusive beer tasting event and get their hands on a custom acrylic Express beer stein for an additional $10 as the team celebrates Oktoberfest a few months early.

Round Rock Express Founder and former CEO Reid Ryan will become the sixth inductee into the Express Hall of Fame on Friday, August 16. Several former Express players, coaches and staff will be on hand to see the enshrinement.

Next up, 80s Night returns on Saturday, August 17, thanks to Rush Automotive. The radical and righteous celebration features a postgame concert by The Spazmatics as part of the St. David's Summer Concert Series, presented by Dell.

The last homestand of the season features Woodstock Night on Friday, August 23. Round Rock will pay homage to the iconic music festival that took place 50 years ago this August.

Shirt-Off-Their-Back Night is back on Sunday, August 25. Thanks to United Heritage Credit Union, fans can enter a raffle to win an Express jersey literally off a player's back following the game.

Last but not least, the Express will celebrate the fans during Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Dell, on Thursday, August 29. The final home game of the 2019 regular season will feature a special postgame fireworks show to cap off the season.

The Express will cap off their promotional rollout on Friday, March 1, as the team unveils the nightly promotions that fans can enjoy during each Express home game.

During the offseason, all fixed seats within Dell Diamond were replaced with new, wider, slat-back seating options. With the renovation, a new Diamond Reserved section was created that features padded seats. The Diamond Reserved section includes all seats in rows 1-10 from Section 114-124 as well as all seats in Section 119.
