Summary
Harrisburg outfielder Stephen Perez's RBI single in the bottom of the 12th inning gave the Senators a 2-1 win over the Akron RubberDucks in an extended-pitcher's duel at FNB Stadium on Monday night.

Turning Point
With the game tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 12th inning and the bases loaded, Perez singled off Akron reliever Mitch Brown to score Drew Ward, who had reached on a single.

Winging It
Ducks starter Luis Lugo threw 4.2 scoreless innings, allowing four hits while walking one and fanning three, but he was forced from the game with a 93-pitch effort. Jordan Milbrath relieved Lugo in the fifth inning and stranded an inherited runner. Milbrath threw a scoreless sixth inning, but in the seventh inning a bases-loaded double play scored the tying run. David Speer retired the first two hitters in the eighth inning before allowing an infield single and being replaced by Leandro Linares. Linares got out of the eighth and stranded two in the ninth as part of his 2.1 scoreless innings. Mitch Brown fired a scoreless 11th inning before the Senators broke through in the 12th. Harrisburg starter Kyle McGowin only allowed a first-inning home run to Francisco Mejía in his seven innings of work, giving up six hits with one walk and five strikeouts. Three Senators relievers then combined to allow one hit over five innings out of the pen.

Duck Tales
Akron jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on Francisco Mejia's 14th home run of the season, but it would be the only run in the 12-inning contest for the RubberDucks. Akron managed seven hits, Mejia with the only two-hit game. Joe Sever, Yu Chang, and Bobby Bradley all doubled for the Ducks. Dorssys Paulino and Tyler Krieger managed singles.
