Summary
Altoona's Cole Tucker grounded an infield single that chased home the eventual winning run in the 10thinning Thursday night, and the Altoona Curve escaped with a 2-1 victory at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio

Turning Point
With Minor League Baseball's new pace-of-play rules in force, the Curve (7-5) started the 10th with Pablo Reyes at second base. Tied, 1-1, and facing Akron reliever Jordan Milbrath, Elvis Escobar grounded out to second, moving Reyes to third. After a walk to Christian Kelley, Tucker hit a slow roller to the right of the mound. Moving toward first, Milbrath (0-1) fielded the ball but had no play as Reyes crossed the plate with the go-ahead run.
Mound Presence
Michael Peoples started for Akron and weaved seven innings of three-hit, one-run baseball. The only blemish on Peoples was an Altoona run in the second inning when Reyes drilled an RBI single for a 1-0 lead. Peoples fanned six and walked three in the no-decision.
Duck Tales
In the Akron 10th, Bobby Bradley advanced as far as third, but Yeudy Garcia managed to hold the Ducks off the board to secure his first save. The RubberDucks tied the game, 1-1, in the eighth inning on a run-scoring base hit by Ka'ai Tom off Curve closer Geoff Hartlieb (2-0).
