Bees, Angels Extend Affiliation Through 2022

SALT LAKE CITY (Aug. 13, 2018) - The Los Angeles Angels and Salt Lake Bees announced a two-year extension of their Player Development Contract today, covering the 2021-2022 seasons. The Bees and Angels partnership will run at least 22 years as the two teams first became affiliated in the 2001 season.
"Salt Lake City is a town that we really enjoy being in. It's a great community and fan base," Angels General Manager Billy Eppler said. "We are very comfortable with Marc Amicone, the entire front office and ownership group. To be able to extend this affiliation was important and frankly, an easy decision for us."
The current Angels 25-man roster includes 20 players that have suited up for Salt Lake during their careers. In total, 28 different players have suited up for both Salt Lake and Los Angeles this season including Major League debuts by

The Angels affiliation has brought dozens of players to Salt Lake that would go on to stardom in the Major Leagues including two-time American League MVP
The 2018 Bees regular season is winding down as Salt Lake has only 10 home games remaining. Following home games with El Paso on Tuesday and Wednesday night the Bees will embark on a 12-game road trip before finishing with seven straight home games beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
