Missions Hiring Wolff Stadium Field Superintendent

The San Antonio Missions are the Double-A Affiliate of the San Diego Padres and a member of the Texas League. We are seeking a Field Superintendent who will be responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance of the Nelson Wolff Stadium playing field and ground of the property.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain all field preparations, including but not limited to, turf management, fertilization, edging, base area, home plate and mound, bullpen areas, warning track and infield surface maintenance
• Prepare the field for practice on game days and facilitate the set-up and breakdown of all equipment, including batting cage, screens and turf mats
• Responsible for maintenance of all high-quality equipment in order to extend the useful life to minimize repair and replacement costs
• Help prepare playing field and stadium for all non-baseball events at Wolff Stadium
• Prepare and perform off-season field maintenance and stadium programs
• Assist with various stadium operation duties related to the upkeep of Wolff Stadium
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Compensation:

        Salary and benefits commiserate with experience
                        
                        

Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Field/Turf Management and/or related field, as well as previous experience maintaining a baseball field. Position to be filled immediately.
