SOUTH BEND, IN- The Beloit Snappers have just finished up a 3 game series in South Bend, IN against the Silver Hawks, the Midwest League affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Beloit won games one and two before losing the third game.

The Snappers won the first game in South Bend by a score of 5-1. The youngest pitcher in the Midwest League started for Beloit that night. The 18 year old native of Venezuela, Ronald Herrera, pitched 6 innings and finished with an ERA of 1.50. The Snappers were already up 5-0 when the homerun occurred. Matt Stalcup came in and pitched for 3 scoreless innings and kept the smooth sailing going.

The second game of the series turned out to be a little tougher to pull out but the Snappers held on to pull out a 3-2 victory. South Bend opened up the scoring first in the bottom of the 3rd. In the top of the 5th inning Tyler Marincov scored on a throwing error by South Bend's SS to tie the game up at 1-1.
