Thursday's game postponed; Doubleheader on Friday

Springfield, MO - Thursday night's game between the Springfield Cardinals and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Hammons Field has been postponed due to continuous rain.  

The Naturals were leading, 2-1, in the bottom of the second inning before the umpires sent the game into the rain delay. After a delay of 1:51, the game was postponed.

Thursday's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday, May 10th, with two 7 inning games beginning at 5:09 pm. Tickets dated for Friday, May 10th, will be valid at the gate for both games of Friday's doubleheader. Gates will open at 4:30pm on Friday, May 10th. 

Tickets from the rained out May 9th, 2013 game against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals may be exchanged for any remaining regular season game during the 2013 season. Tickets must be mailed or presented in person to the Cardinals Ticket Office, located at Gate 1 at Hammons Field, at anytime during the remainder of the 2013 season. Complimentary tickets are not exchangeable.

The Cardinals and the Naturals continue the series at Hammons Field this Friday with AM Pyrotechnics Friday Night Fireworks after the second game of Friday's doubleheader. This week's phenomenal fireworks will be set to music from the 80s. First Pitch of Game 1 is 5:09pm, gates open at 4:30pm.

The great Championship giveaways continue this Saturday with the Coca-Cola Texas League Championship Long Sleeve Shirt Giveaway (2,500 fans). Show your Championship pride with these have-to-have shirts! First Pitch is 6:09pm, gates open at 5:09pm.

The homestand wraps up on Sunday with a 2:09pm First Pitch. It's a Hiland Dairy Ice Cream Sunday with a free ice cream party for kids before the game. All kids can then run the bases just like the Cardinals after the game! Gates open at 1:09pm.
