Sunday's game time changed to 5:10pm for heat safety

Springfield, MO - Due to the extreme heat in the forecast, including a heat index of over 100 degrees, the Springfield Cardinals have announced that the game on Sunday, August 24 has been changed to a 5:10pm First Pitch.

Sunday's game was originally scheduled to begin at 2:10pm, but for the safety of the players, fans and canines during the Purina Bark in the Park promotion, the game has been rescheduled to start at 5:10pm.

In addition to Purina Bark in the Park, Sunday's game will still feature the Purina St. Louis Cardinals Fleece Blanket Giveaway for 2,500 fans. Sunday is also a Hiland Dairy Ice Cream Sunday with free ice cream for kids before the game, and all kids can run the bases after the game in The Track Family Fun Parks Kids Race the Bases promotion. Gates will open at 4:10pm on Sunday.

The Cardinals kick off the final homestand of the Regular Season on Saturday, August 23

The Cardinals continue the four-game road trip this Thursday against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at 7:05pm. Catch all the action live on Jock 98.7 FM and SpringfieldCardinals.com, and tune in 15 minutes early for the Coyote's Sports Cafe Pregame Show.

The Cards then come home for the final homestand of the 2014 Regular Season from Saturday, August 23 - Friday, August 29. The homestand will feature:
