Current Front Office Opportunities

Inside Sales Associate

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Springfield Cardinals are seeking candidates for the Inside Sales Associate position.Individuals in this position will be responsible for assisting in the building of new business through outbound phone calls, inbound phone calls, and in game networking. This position is also responsible for assisting in the operation of Fun Zone, Wheel of Fun and Group Cap Distribution on game days.                       

 Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Responsible for selling new accounts. (Memberships/Groups)
  • Responsible for data collection and entry
  • Responsible for overseeing Fun Zone and Wheel of Fun during games
  • Responsible for overseeing Group Cap Redemption kiosk during games
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned to assist in the success of the Ticket Sales department and the organization

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of baseball and sales

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to stand on feet and walk comfortably for long periods of time
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Box Office Associate

Summary of Responsibilities:

Ticket Office employees are responsible for assisting customers in purchasing tickets for Springfield Cardinals home games either in person at ticket windows or over the phone. The position will also assist the Sales Department by referring leads for group or season ticket sales when possible.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Answer phone calls from customers requesting information and seeking to purchase Springfield Cardinals game tickets
  • Use computerized ticketing system to facilitate ticketing transactions
  • Assist customers in person at ticket windows in purchasing game tickets
  • Organize and maintain a professional ticket office by stocking supplies and cleaning the office when needed
  • Assist sales department by referring opportunities for group and season ticket sales

Education and Experience Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma/GED required, some college preferred
  • Customer Service experience with face to face interaction preferred
  • Cash Handling experience preferred
  • Comfort level with operation of computers, telephones and general office machinery
  • Previous box office experience and/or training on Tickets.com software preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Assist sales department by referring opportunities for group and season ticket sales

Job Details:

  • Beginning pay is $8.60 per hour
  • Business casual dress is required for daily non-game ticket office hours. Game Day attire will consist of khaki pants or capris (supplied by the employee) and uniform shirts supplied by the Springfield Cardinals. No jeans, shorts, t-shirts etc.
  • Interested applicants should plan to be available for most, if not all, home games and have a reasonable amount of availability during regular ticket office hours. Regular ticket office hours are Monday Friday from 9am 5pm beginning in mid-March and continuing until approximately mid-September.
