Viva Los Santos During Celebration of Latino and American Cultures On June 28-July 3 Homestand

ST. PAUL, MN (June 27, 2022) - It’s a week of celebration of our neighbors to the north and south as well as the Independence of the country we call home. Pull up a chair and bring your appetite for some Empanadas de Pino and Ropa Vieja. Paint a maple leaf on your cheek. Immerse yourself in the various cultures of North America with food, fireworks, and fun. The Saints (Santos De San Pablo) homestand from June 28-July 3 will be a party you won’t want to miss.

Tuesday, June 28 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers (Kansas City Royals), 7:07 p.m. – Copa de la Diversión featuring Santos de San Pablo with a Latin Cuisine Flavor

The game of baseball has always been rich with Latin talent, and currently more than one-fourth of Major League ballplayers come from Latin countries. The St. Paul Saints plan to honor the rich history of the Latin community in Minnesota and baseball during three separate nights in 2022 as they take part in Minor League Baseball’s Copa de la Diversión. Copa de la Diversión or, “Fun Cup,” is a season-long event series specifically designed to embrace the culture and values that resonate most with participating teams’ local U.S. Hispanic/Latino communities. The Saints will become Santos de San Pablo and wear specialty uniforms with a unique new logo. The Saints primary logo is a combined inspiration of their mascot, Mudonna, and sugar skulls, traditional folk art from southern Mexico. The Saints will wear light blue jersey’s with “Santos de San Pablo” across the chest. Want to get your hands on these amazing uniforms? Fans will bid on all of the Copa jersey’s beginning just before the final set of games on August 14 via the livesource app. Come hungry because the Saints will offer various Latin cuisines during the night. Wednesday, June 29 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers, 1:07 p.m. – Slack Off With The Power Trip Morning Show

It’s your Day Off. No need to make up excuses to not show up to work. It’s summertime, so save your clammy hands and stomach pain excuses for another day when school is back in session. Jump in your GT Ferrari and head to CHS Field because we’re all taking the day off with the Power Trip Morning Show crew. There are no better slackers in the Twin Cities than the gang from one of the most popular morning shows in the country and while they should be working Cory Cove, Chris Hawkey, and Paul “Meatsauce” Lambert are skipping out of the iHeart studios to take in a St. Paul Saints game. The morning show hosts will have their hands all over the Saints entertainment that afternoon. They will enter the field in a red Ferrari, jump on the microphone both inside the ballpark and on the broadcast, host a bags tournament on the Cub A Cabana Lawn, throw out a first pitch, and even leading the crowd in a rendition of Donke Shoen. The first fan to catch a foul ball on the fly will receive a Detroit Red Wings jersey and two tickets to Wrigley Field for a 2023 game against the Atlanta Braves.

Thursday, June 30 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers, 7:07 p.m. – Happy ½ New Year

Blink once and the year is halfway over, blink twice and the year is in your rearview mirror. We’re not trying to turn the calendar just yet, but we never need a reason to throw a celebration. Look at this day as the warm-up act to your actual New Year’s event as we celebrate the ½ New Year. Put on that party outfit and hat, make your resolution (that you won’t keep), get ready to pop the champagne and confetti because we’re going to party like it’s 2023 2022 ½. What better way to bring in the half New Year than on a Thirsty Thursday featuring $2 beers and two-for-one Bud Light Seltzers.

Friday, July 1 vs, Omaha Storm Chasers, 7:07 p.m. – Canada Day with Friday Night Fireworks powered by Xcel Energy Featuring Music by Canadian Musicians plus an Energy Star LED Bulb Giveaway courtesy of Xcel Energy

While we celebrate July 4 as our Nations Independence, July 1 is the important day for our friends to the North. On July 1, 1867 three separate colonies of the United Canadas, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick were united into a single Dominion with the British Empire called Canada. Join our parade, wave the Canadian flag proudly, enjoy some poutine and baklava, and no celebration is complete without fireworks. We provide those Friday Night Fireworks powered by Xcel Energy to the music of Canadian musicians. No one goes home empty handed as Xcel Energy hands out LED bulbs.

Saturday, July 2 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers, 6:07 p.m. – The Rehearsal with Post-Game Monster Food Truck Rally and Fireworks SuperShow presented by Keller Woods and Thompson

We’re not afraid to own up to our mistakes. We don’t shy away when we’re not perfect. We can poke fun at ourselves with the best of them. As a refresher, our Fourth of July celebrations in 2021 was, let’s just say, less than stellar. The sound system went out, although it created one of the most unique moments in CHS Field history when the entire crowd sang the National Anthem, and if that had been the only thing to go wrong the night would have been a huge success. But during our fireworks show some technical difficulties left our show rather grounded. Like they do on Broadway, we’re running a dress rehearsal before the big show tomorrow and it’s all brought to you by Keller Woods and Thompson. The night begins with a baseball showdown between your Saints and the Storm Chasers. Following the game get ready for some amazing treats with our Monster Food Truck Rally. Those scheduled to appear: Dine 1-1, Dough Dough, El Burrito Mercado, KCM Egg Rolls, O’Cheeze, Pretty Great Cheesecake, Sumo Egg Roll, Smokin Bonez, and Youniverse Waffles. The night is capped off with a fireworks SuperShow you won’t want to miss. You can enjoy it all on a relaxing night with our Treasure Island Saturday.

Sunday, July 3 vs. Omaha Storm Chasers, 6:07 p.m. – Independence Day Celebration with Post-Game Monster Food Truck Rally and Fireworks SuperShow

This is our moment to shine the light on the women and men who have fought for our freedom. This is the time to honor them. Independence Day is associated with fireworks, baseball and family gatherings. We will provide all three during our Independence Day Celebration. Let’s not forget the true reason behind this holiday: the freedom of the U.S. from the British Monarchy. It was that separation in 1776 that now allows us the freedom under the Declaration of Independence. Each season we celebrate the women and men that fought for our freedom. The Saints will wear commemorative uniforms that will be blue in color with the Saints in a red script across the chest with white stars filling in the “Saints” and the number on the bottom left in white. On the back, the name will appear on the top of the uniform with the number in the middle of the back in a similar style as the Saints script on the front. The Saints New Era Cap for that game will have a dark blue brim with the “STP” intertwined logo on the cap in red, with splashes of red, white, and blue streaked across the cap along with starts mixed into the colors. Kids run the bases on our Cub Family Sunday. Following that is a Monster Food Truck Rally. Food trucks scheduled to appear: The Anchor Fish and Chips, Dine 1-1, El Burrito Mercado, KCM Egg Rolls, ODB Meat & Greet, Pretty Great Cheesecake, Sumo Egg Roll, Smokin Bonez, and Youniverse Waffles. After you’ve indulged on all these delectable items, get ready for a SuperFireworks Show that will bring the pomp and circumstance to the Red, White, and Blue.

Believe it or not, this homestand will mark the halfway point of the season. We’re not hitting the fast forward button on the season, so make sure to put on your sombrero, grab your maple syrup, and enjoy some apple pie because this homestand is all about celebrating our Independence and the traditions of our neighbors to the north and south.

Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value. Tickets begin at $5 for the Treasure Island berm seating, $6 bleacher seats, $15 for outfield reserved, $18 for drink rail, infield reserved, and home plate reserved. Friday home games with Post-Game Fireworks are an additional $2 per ticket. Post-Game Fireworks Supershows (July 2, July 3, and September 4) are an additional $3 per ticket. Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket. Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.
