Corey Braun Named California League Pitcher Of The Week

Stockton Ports left-hander Corey Braun has been named California League Pitcher of the Week for his performance on Wednesday, August 12 in his start versus Visalia.

Braun threw six no-hit innings, striking out nine and issuing one walk in Stockton’s 1-0 win against the Visalia Rawhide. He didn't give up that lone walk until there were two outs in the sixth inning.

The Florida native has held opponents to a .258 batting average against this season in 60.2 IP while striking out 71 batters. He's allowed just two earned runs over his last 21.1 innings pitched.

Braun was selected in the 8th round of the 2025 MLB Draft out of South Florida and is in his first professional season.
