A double-digit first inning from the Round Rock Express (31-25) helped take down the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (24-32) 16-4 on Saturday night at Dell Diamond.

Round Rock struck for 11 runs in the bottom of the first inning, using eight hits, three walks and a fielder’s choice to open up the double-digit advantage. RHP Kyle McGowin (L, 1-1) was knocked out after facing eight batters in the first inning.

Sugar Land started to chip away at the lead in the top of the fourth inning.
