(SUGAR LAND, Texas) – Houston Astros RHP Pedro Báez is set to resume his Major League Rehab Assignment with the Sugar Land Skeeters on Friday in Oklahoma City. The Skeeters take on the Dodgers at 7:05 p.m. on Friday.

Báez signed a two-year contract with the Astros this offseason and has spent the entire regular season on the 60-Day Injured List with right shoulder soreness. He’s made two rehab appearances so far, both with Low A Fayetteville, recording two innings pitched and topping out at 19 pitches.

Prior to signing with the Astros, Báez appeared in seven seasons at the Major League level (2014-20), all with Los Angeles (NL). He’s gone 21-15 with a 3.03 ERA (120 ER/356.0 IP) and 369 strikeouts in 355 career appearances at the Major League level.
