Chiefs and Knights suspended in the fourth, game to be completed as doubleheader Thursday

Syracuse, NY (August 8, 2018) - Wednesday night's game between the Syracuse Chiefs and the Charlotte Knights was suspended after four completed innings because of rain with the Knights up 2-0. The game will be completed on Thursday night as part of a doubleheader, with the resumption of Wednesday's game

Syracuse, NY (August 8, 2018) - Wednesday night's game between the Syracuse Chiefs and the Charlotte Knights was suspended after four completed innings because of rain with the Knights up 2-0. The game will be completed on Thursday night as part of a doubleheader, with the resumption of Wednesday's game beginning at 4:35 p.m. That game will be completed to the full nine innings, and the second game of the doubleheader will be seven innings and begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Charlotte led off the top of the fourth inning on Wednesday with back-to-back home runs from Eloy Jiménez and José Rondón to take a 2-0 lead. After the bottom of the fourth inning, the tarp was put on the field and rain rolled in.
