CHIEFS ANNOUNCE HIGHLIGHTS OF 10-GAME HOMESTAND
The Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, return home Monday for a 10-game home stand, the team's longest during the 2014 season. The Chiefs will take on the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the Louisville Bats and the Charlotte Knights, the Triple-A affiliates of the New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox, respectively. Monday, August 4th (7 p.m. vs. Scranton Wilkes-Barre): The homestand begins as the Chiefs take on the RailRiders on Clue Night. Fans will be asked to help solve a mystery by following along with clues played on the stadium scoreboard between innings. The characters involved with Clue Night will be taking part in our on-field promotions. To participate, fans can receive a ballot from Birnie Bus Guest Services and return it with their guess by the end of the 7th inning to be eligible to win. All fans with the correct guess will win a general-admission ticket to any Chiefs' game during the rest of the regular season.
For Social Media Monday, sponsored by BlueRock Energy, the BlueRock Energy social media networks (Twitter, Facebook, & Google+) will release a password at noon for fans to receive a $5 Reserved Box ticket voucher. Participants can speak the password to our Fan Experience team in the BlueRock Energy Fan Experience tent in front of the main gate.
Tuesday, August 5th (7 p.m. vs. Scranton Wilkes-Barre): For Tuesday night's game, we invite all beards, moustaches, goatees, chinstraps, and soul patches out to the ballpark as part of our Salute to Facial Hair presented by Clean Communities of CNY. The fans with the most unique facial hair will be entered into a competition, with the winner going home with a special Chiefs' prize.
Fans can also purchase two tickets for the price of one as part of our Two-for-Tuesday
promotion. This offer is not available online.
Thursday, August 7th (7 p.m. vs. Louisville): After an off day, the homestand continues on Country Night at NBT Bank Stadium. With the New York State Fair right around the corner, we invite fans to get into the spirit of the fair by wearing cowboy boots, hats, as we play country music all game long. After the final out, stick around for a fireworksextravaganza to the sounds of country, presented by Champions Nationals.
Thursday's game is also the first of four $1.00 Thursdays presented by 95X in the month of August. Fans can purchase $1 Hofmann hot dogs, $1 Coca-Cola products, $1 Saranac, Labatt and Budweiser products, $1 game programs and $3 general admission tickets.
Fans that are feeling lucky will want to check out New York State Lottery Night on Thursday as well. The New York State Lottery will have a table on the stadium concourse with lottery tickets and scratch-offs for fans over the age of 18.
Friday, August 8th (7 p.m. vs. Louisville): Chiefs fans won't want to miss out on Lockheed Martin Family Night, one of the longest running baseball promotions here in Syracuse. The first 2,500 adults in attendance will receive pennants commemorating the night. The first 2,500 children (ages 12 and under) inside the gates will receive a pair of "Bam-Bam Sticks" as well as a set of family stickers. All giveaways for this night are courtesy of Lockheed Martin.

Saturday, August 9th (7 p.m. vs. Louisville - GATES OPEN EARLY AT 5:30): Spend a midsummer's night at the ballpark this Giveaway Saturday sponsored by 1911 Spirits and Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards. The first 600 fans in attendance 21 and older will receive baseball caps courtesy of 1911 Spirits. For the first 400 children in attendance, and Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards have provided cinch bags, a great addition for back-to-school preparation. Gates will open at 5:30 for fans to start receiving their giveaways.
The first 2,000 fans inside the stadium gates will also receive a 2014 Chiefs team photo, presented by Beak & Skiff. Fans can get the team photo autographed by the players, who will be on the main concourse signing from 5:45 to 6:15. The players will only be signing during that time slot, so we encourage fans to get to the stadium early to make sure they get autographs from all their favorite players.
Sunday, August 10th (1:05 p.m. vs. Louisville): This Sunday, we honor a beloved cartoon show with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Day. We invite fans to come in their TMNT gear for fun and to be given priority to play in on-field games.
Help out a great cause as the Chiefs host Cancer Awareness Day sponsored by Total Care, a Today's Options ® of New York Health Plan. Fans will have a chance to bid on game-worn, signed Chiefs' jerseys throughout the game on the stadium concourse. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research, Inc.
As part of Family Sunday, all kids ages 12 and under get into the game for free and can run the bases after the game's final out.

Monday, August 11th (7 p.m. vs. Charlotte): Social Media Monday, sponsored by Blue Rock Energy, will involve a contest for our fans to participate in via social media. Details will be announced in advance of Monday's game. Participants can head to our Fan Experience team in the Blue Rock Energy Fan Experience tent in front of the main gate and share their post on social media before entering the stadium. Anyone who participates in the contest will receive a voucher for $5 off a Reserved or Box seat.
Join the Chiefs for Onondaga County Volunteer Firefighter Association Night presented by McNeil & Company, providers of Emergency Services Insurance Program (ESIP), as we take time to honor the efforts of the brave men and women serving as firefighters on a daily basis.
The homestand continues with our second Stockholders' Day of the season. We invite all Chiefs stockholders out to the ballpark as a way to thank them for their support of the organization and their efforts.
Tuesday, August 12th (7 p.m. vs. Charlotte): Come out to the ballpark on Tuesday and support local businesses onBuy Local Night sponsored by Gannon Pest Control. Local businesses that sign up will receive a table on the stadium concourse, 30 200-level tickets to that night's game, and logo placement on a promotional flyer handed out to all fans in attendance. Wednesday, August 13th (7 p.m. vs. Charlotte): The Chiefs are giving fans the opportunity of an after-lifetime withCelebration of Life Night presented by Farone & Son Funeral Home. The winner of a "Celebration of Life" essay contest will receive a free funeral during an on-field announcement during the 8th inning on this night. Fans have until August 8th to submit an essay, either by email to [email protected] or by mail to NBT Bank Stadium, of 200 words or less about how they celebrate life. Three finalists will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony and watch the game from a luxury suite. Please note that this is a non-exchangeable, non-transferable and non-refundable prize that has no cash value. Fans must be 18 years of age or older to register. Sweet-Woods Memorial Co. will provide a $750 certificate towards the purchase of a memorial or marker and Westcott Florist will provide a casket spray certificate.
