The Tennessee Smokies (22-15) defeated the Rocket City Trash Pandas (17-19), 4-3, in walk-off fashion. Tennessee scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the third inning on a Moises Ballesteros RBI sacrifice fly. However, Rocket City responded with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth to take its first lead. After a scoreless fifth inning, the Trash Pandas scored one in the sixth, but the Smokies put up two in the bottom half on an Ezequiel Pagan two-run homer.

It was a 3-3 game entering the bottom of the ninth inning. With runners on first and second with two outs, Pablo Aliendo hit a single, scoring Luis Verdugo, to record Tennessee’s fourth walk-off win of the 2024 season. Smokies reliever Frankie Scalzo Jr. recorded the win out of the bullpen and improved to 2-0 on the season.
