The Canadians got their only run of the game in the top of the 1st inning when C Philip Clarke singled home SS Trevor Schwecke who reached base on a hard hit single and advanced on an error (Martinez) to second base before he was brought in on Clarke's base hit.
Vancouver LHP Juan Diaz went six innings allowing five hits and four runs (three earned) while striking out seven taking the hard luck loss falling to 1-3. Canadians LHP Nicolas Medina (1.0IP, 0H, 0R, 1BB, 0SO) and LHP Luke Gillingham (1.0IP, 1H, 1R, 1ER, 1BB, 1SO) got some work in Gillingham giving up the second of Crim's home runs.
SS Trevor Schewecke (2-for-3) and C Philip Clarke (2-for-4) had multi-hit nights for Vancouver in a game that took 2 hours, 20 minutes to play in front of a crowd of 5,092.
Vancouver wraps up this three-game series vs. Spokane on Friday, July 19th at 6:30pm with RHP Nick Fraze on the mound looking to help the C's avoid the sweep.
