Opening Day Could Change One Fan's Life

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - When the West Michigan Whitecaps play their season opener on Saturday afternoon they will be playing for more than just a victory. They will be playing for one lucky person. If the Whitecaps beat the South Bend Cubs by a score of 5-3, one fan at the game will win $53,000!

The Whitecaps have teamed up with Fifth Third Bank to offer this huge payout. "Opening Day is special but we wanted to make Opening Day even more of an event," said Whitecaps Promotions Manager Matt Hoffman. "We'll be celebrating the team's 2015 Midwest League championship and we'd love to make one fan's year by giving away $53,000. Just imagine what you could do with all of that money!"

Fans at Saturday's game need to register for the promotion at the Fifth Third Bank concourse table before first pitch. The lucky contestant will be drawn before the game starts.

Saturday's home opener starts at 4pm and the gates open at 2pm. The first 1,000 fans will receive a replica 2015 Midwest League Championship Ring courtesy of Fifth Third Bank.
