The Wind Surge Internship program is for highly motivated college students who have an interest in the business of sport management. The program is designed to give students their first experience within the sports industry with an emphasis on game-day operations and customer service. These positions are open to any college student. This is a part-time seasonal internship, offering 10-30 hours of work per week, and it is paid
Reports To: Director, Ticket Sales
Overview:
This position provides hands-on experience in professional sports ticketing operations, with responsibilities ranging from customer service and sales support to event preparation and administrative duties. The position is ideal for someone passionate about sports, eager to learn, and motivated to contribute to a fast-paced team environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Learn the organization’s ticketing platform to edit event details, troubleshoot technical issues, and process and send tickets to customers
- Research and identify potential sales opportunities by building lead lists
- Serve as a primary point of contact for new and existing ticket holders, addressing inquiries and fulfilling requests
- Assist the Ticketing Department with a wide range of tasks, including event preparation, reporting, and administrative duties

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Help manage the team’s online presence by creating and sharing engaging photo and video content across all major social media channels
- Lead day-to-day execution of social media posts, maintain the content calendar, and assist with promotional posts, historical content, and paid advertisements
- Capture the full game-day experience at Equity Bank Park to showcase the fan experience and team culture
- Research social media and digital strategies used by other MiLB/MLB and professional sports teams to identify new opportunities
- Contribute to team email blasts and assist with website updates and content development
- Edit and post highlight clips in real time during home and road games, as well as compile highlight reels
- Support the Communications Department with game notes, stat packs, press box setup, media interviews, podcast recording, post-game recaps, player features, and graphic production

Overview:
This position assists in ensuring general facility maintenance and clean-up standards are kept to MLB requirements. It will also assist with event-day operations including, but not limited to, security, cleaning, game-day staffing, and clubhouse operations for Equity Bank Park.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work alongside and assist the Director of Stadium Operations, Operations Manager, and Stadium Maintenance with daily duties:
- Stadium Maintenance: Preventive maintenance, basic maintenance, painting, door repairs, ceiling tiles, light bulbs, landscaping, parking lot cleaning/upkeep, carpentry, HVAC work
- Events: Planning, set-up, and breakdown, hospitality area room turnover
- Staff Management: Game day staff members (Ticket Takers, Ushers, Kids Zone, Cleaning Crew, Security Staff, Parking, and emergency service vendors
- Manage and cultivate vendor relationships for ballpark improvement projects and day-to-day affairs
- Perform daily walk throughs of the facility to ensure proper set-up is complete for each event
- Assist other departments with various tasks, when necessary and appropriate

- Assist with answering and fulfilling donation and mascot appearance requests
- Support the execution of theme nights, awareness nights, mascot-related events, and community initiatives during home games, including charity initiatives and events such as birthdays or special awareness campaigns

- Coordinate and execute the Wind Surge Foundation's needs through 50/50, jersey auctions, and the community corner
