Blue Rocks Release 2019 Promotional Schedule

Giveaways, Celebrity Appearances and Great Deals Highlight Upcoming Ledger

Wilmington, DE--Visits from Al Borland, J. Peterman, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo, plus four bobbleheads, a celebration of Woodstock, Friends and the Moon Landing highlight the Wilmington Blue Rocks 2019 promotional schedule, which the team released in full on Tuesday.

Wilmington, DE--Visits from Al Borland, J. Peterman, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo, plus four bobbleheads, a celebration of Woodstock, Friends and the Moon Landing highlight the Wilmington Blue Rocks 2019 promotional schedule, which the team released in full on Tuesday.

The Cowboy Monkey Rodeo will make two appearances at Blue Rocks games in 2019. Monkeys dressed as cowboys while riding dogs as though they were horses and herding rams will perform at Frawley Stadium on May 24 and on August 30. 
The Rocks will also welcome several celebrities to the Riverfront in 2019. WWE legend Jake "The Snake" Roberts will meet fans and sign autographs on May 25 as part of Wrestling Night. Richard Karn, who played Al Borland on the popular 90's sitcom Home Improvement, will greet Blue Rocks fans on June 20 thanks to Dippold Marble and Granite. Seinfeld actor John O'Hurley-who brought the zany J. Peterman to life-visits Frawley Stadium on July 23. Fans can meet the iconic Smalls from The Sandlot when actor Tom Guiry comes to the Blue Rocks game on August 2. 
Blue Rocks fans will also receive a giveaway simply for coming through the Frawley Stadium gates (while supplies last) at every Saturday home game and select other contests in 2019. The Bank of America Bobblehead Series is back this season, with four bobbleheads going out before four games. 
On May 4 fans get a Rocky Skywinkle Bobblehead as part of the Blue Rocks' May the Force be With You celebration. On June 22 the team will celebrate the cult classic Dodgeball with a mystery bobblehead giveaway revolving around the flick. A celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first man on the moon will include a Lunar Landing Bobblehead on July 13. Then, on August 3 the Rocks will commemorate the Woodstock Festival with a Woodstalk themed Mr. Celery Bobblehead. 
Other highlighted giveaway items include: a Whit Merrifield mini bat on April 20; a six-pack cooler bag courtesy of the Delaware Lottery on May 11; a crab claw oven mitt from Baltimore Crab Cake Company on May 25; and a canine trading card courtesy of Concord Pet Foods and Supplies on July 23. 
There will also be an assortment of theme nights over the course of 2019. Some of the highlights include: Fortnite Friday on April 19; Comic Heroes Night on May 3; Friends 25th Anniversary Night on July 12; Christmas in July on July 25; and a visit to the Wizarding World on August 23.
On top of all that, the Blue Crew will provide an offer for each day of the week in 2019. 
Mondays at Frawley Stadium revolve around our military and first responders. Fans who present a valid/retired military or first responder identification badge can purchase a ticket for just $1. Tuesdays belong to man's best friend as we celebrate Dog Days courtesy of Concord Pet Foods and Supplies. Fans can bring their dog to the ballpark for free. They can also enjoy $1 hot dogs courtesy of Kunzler and Tito's Yappy Hour specials from 5:30- 7 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays revolve around great drink specials. Patrons are invited to wet their whistle on Wednesdays with Miller Lite drafts available for just $2 from 5:30-7 p.m. On Thursdays fans should head to the Dogfish Head Off-Centered Fan Deck for $3 Dogfish Head drafts, wine and food specials from 5:30-7 p.m. Plus there will be live music to add to the atmosphere.
On Fridays the night sky will light up above Frawley Stadium, as every home game to end the work week will be followed by a postgame fireworks show. Then on Saturdays fans will have the opportunity to take home a gift just for coming to the ballpark, as each contest will feature a giveaway. Sundays are all about families. There will be a complimentary pregame parent-child catch on the field and player autographs available on the concourse (gates will open 90 minutes before first pitch at 12 noon). After the game all kids can run the bases for free, courtesy of the Delaware Theatre Company. 
The Blue Rocks open their 2019 season at home on Thursday, April 4 against the Salem Red Sox. Individual tickets are available starting on February 23 with the team's annual Blue Saturday Ticket Extravaganza running from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. 
Prices for Opening Night tickets will be dictated by that morning's temperature. It will be one cent per degree, so if it is 26 degrees at 9 a.m. on February 23, Opening Night tickets during Blue Saturday will be just 26 cents. The team will also offer four-packs of tickets for games on April 9, June 10 and August 20 for just $25. That offer also includes $5 loaded onto each ticket, which can be used for concessions and merchandise.
