Ben McMahan had a three-run homer early in the game and Wisconsin had a 6–2 lead after seven innings. The LumberKings scored three runs in the eighth, but Wisconsin responded with two runs in their half of the eighth for an 8–5 lead. Clinton tied the game in the top of the ninth. Jamal Austin had a two-out, RBI single and Dan Paolini, who had a two-run double in the eighth, added a two-run double in the ninth. Chad Pierce was the starting pitcher for Wisconsin and allowed two runs over seven innings for a no decision.
