GRAND CHUTE, WI – The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Award-Winning Food & Beverage department has added another trophy to its case. Chris Prentice, the team’s executive sous chef, won the Culinary Leadership Award from the Fox Valley chapter of the American Culinary Federation during the sixth annual Hospitality Awards Gala in Oshkosh last night.
Prentice was nominated for the award for his work with the “Leaven Dinner” fundraising event for ACF-Fox Valley, with the Timber Rattlers for their annual charity golf outing, and various other initiatives in the community.
“Chris has a passion for making great food and putting a smile on peoples’ faces,” said Charles Behrmann, executive chef for the Timber Rattlers. “We are honored to have Chris on the food and beverage team and very proud that he has won this award.”
Behrmann won a Pandemic Leadership Award from ACF-Fox Valley at the 2021 Gala.
The Gala allows local groups including the Tavern League of Outagamie County, Wisconsin Bakers Association, Fox Cities Hotel & Lodging Association, Wisconsin BBQ Posse, ACF-Fox Valley, and the Wisconsin Restaurant Association honor hard working members of the hospitality industry and raise money for Fox Valley Technical College culinary student scholarships.
