GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are scheduled to play the Quad Cities River Bandits on Monday, August 21. The game is scheduled to begin at 12:05pm, which will be mere minutes after the start of the solar eclipse. The conjunction of these events has led the Rattlers and WisconsinVision to announce Total Eclipse of the Park at Neuroscience Group Field.

WisconsinVision will have a viewing station set up at the stadium to allow fans to safely view this rare event. Plus, our cameras at the stadium will be outfitted with special filters to allow us to show the eclipse on the videoboard.

The Solar Eclipse is scheduled to begin before the game at 11:53am, will peak in the middle of the game at 1:16pm with the moon obscuring nearly 80% of the Sun, and will end late in the game at 2:37pm.

There are other non-celestial events happening during this game, too.

Kids Rock the Ballpark is presented by Neuroscience Group and there will be plenty of opportunities for the Kids to enjoy the game. The opportunities include: Kids Eat Free, Free Inflatables in the Kids' Zone, and Kid Run the Bases after the game. There are a limited number of bike helmets that will be available for free to children courtesy of Neuroscience Group. Appleton Rock School will be performing outside the stadium on the way into the game.

This is also the final Qdoba Q*Monday of the season. Stop at Qdoba in Appleton, Oshkosh, or Neenah for lunch and purchase an entrée to receive a free ticket to this game!

Also, since this is a day game, show your business card when you purchase a ticket and for $14.50 you will receive a box seat ticket, a beverage and your choice of brat or hot dog. The offer is also available to senior citizens (55 & older) and military personnel courtesy of Baker Tilly, WVBO, and AM1280 WNAM.
