BURLINGTON, IA - Thursday's series finale between the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and the Burlington Bees at Community Field has been rained out. Since this was the last meeting of the first half between the teams, it will not be rescheduled.
The game was called after a strong gust of wind ripped the tarp from the control of the Burlington tarp crew and blew the field cover against the first base dugout and into the stands by taking out the backstop net. The tarp could not be placed on the field before a severe thunderstorm hit the area with heavy rains and made the field unplayable.
Wisconsin (31-35) will head to Kane County to begin a three-game series to end the first half of the season on Friday night. Game time at Northwestern Medicine Field is 6:30pm. The radio broadcast is on AM1280, WNAM starting with the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino Pregame Show at 6:10pm. The broadcast is also available on the Tune In and IHeart Radio apps. Subscribers to MiLB.tv can watch the game over the internet.
