Summary
Binghamton's Gustavo Nunez had three hits and two RBI, and right-hander Tyler Bashlor picked up his first Double-A win, as the Rumble Ponies thumped the Akron RubberDucks, 9-3, Monday night at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio.

Turning Point
The Rumble Ponies (54-43) sent 12 batters to the plate and scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning against Akron lefty reliever David Speer (2-2) to take a 9-3 lead. Nunez delivered the key blow of the inning when he drove in two runs with a single. Nunez was 3-5 on the night. Two Akron errors made three of the runs against Speer unearned.
Winging It
Akron starter Matt Esparza allowed three runs over four innings, but walked a season-high six batters. D.J. Brown chipped in a pair of scoreless frames, before the Ponies jumped on Speer in the seventh. On the Binghamton side, Bashlor (1-0) tossed two hitless innings over the fifth and sixth innings to earn his first Double-A win. Bashlor has returned to action this season after missing most of the last two seasons due to elbow surgery. The Georgia native walked one and struck out two.
Duck Tales
The RubberDucks (49-49) came back from an early 3-0 deficit to tie the game in the fourth. Yu Chang tripled in Mike Papi, and Eric Haase followed with a two-run homer to knot the game, 3-3. It was Hasse's 19th homer, tying Chang for the team-lead. Luigi Rodriguez was 2-3, with a single and double, and is 5-7 in his last two games.
